Attractive antique Victorian carved walnut sideboard in the manner of Lamb's of Manchester.
A lovely Victorian carved walnut sideboard. We date this sideboard to the late 19th century.
The sideboard comes in two sections: the base and the mirrored gallery back. The parts are screwed together for stability.
The sideboard sits on turned legs at the front and square section legs to the rear.
The sideboard has wonderful carving throughout and has lots of areas for display. The lower cupboard door has a painted daffodil panel and the top cupboard doors have carved panels depicting what appears to be greek goddesses.
There is an amount of gilting to many of the edges and the rear panels have been covered in a foliate designed material.
There are two small drawers to the base of the top section, these and various other panels of the sideboard have been veneered with a good quality burr walnut.
The gallery back has an amount of shelves and features well turned pillars. The mirror glasses are thick, bevelled and showing only minor signs of foxing.
The sideboard has a height of 97.5" (248cm) (including gallery back) with a base cabinet height of 37.5" (95cm), a width of 71" (180cm) and a depth of 22" (56cm).
This lovely sideboard remains in good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some minor marks and indentations to the top surface and some edges from past use.
This remains a very stylish and elegant large carved walnut sideboard which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.

Attractive antique rustic pine mirror back sideboard cabinet.
A lovely antique rustic pine mirror back sideboard. We date this sideboard to late 19th century.
The sideboard comes in two sections, the large base section and the mirror back.
The base consists of two side hinged door cupboards below a pair of wide drawers. The cupboard is fitted with a mid height fixed position shelf.
The right hand cupboard door has a lock fitted (no key is supplied but one should be easily obtained if required, a dummy key is supplied to aid opening the door).
The drawers are fitted with very ornate large drop handles mounted on large backplates.
The mirror back has a central mirror flanked by a shelf to each side. The original mirror is bevel edged and is in a good condition for its age. There are ornate carvings above the mirror and side shelves.
The sideboard has a height of 69.5" (177cm) (including mirror back) with a cabinet height of 36.5" (93cm), a width of 53.5" (135cm) and a depth of 22" (56cm).
This lovely antique mirror back sideboard remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is some minor marking from past use to the top surface and shelves, with a little bit of wear to some of the edges. The cabinet top surface has some minor age splits and there are old repairs above the mirror to the right hand finial and below the centre finial. The doors have some wear to the inside of the bottom corners and the left hand drawer has some scratches on the bottom. There is evidence of old worm to the bottom of the front plinth.
This remains a very stylish and elegant antique pine mirror back sideboard which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.

A lovely antique carved oak mirror back sideboard. We date this sideboard to the late 19th century.
The sideboard comes in two sections: the base section and the large mirror gallery back. The parts are screwed together for stability. Please be aware that the base section in particular is very heavy and would need extra assistance to get it inside the property. Please ensure that access is checked before purchasing.
The sideboard sits on a plain plinth base.
The base section has a breakfront design. The recessed centre has a drawer over a 2 door cupboard, below there is an open shelf area. At each side there is a top drawer over a hinged panelled door. Internally the left hand side has a cupboard with a mid height removable shelf. The right hand side has four drawers lined with green baize and fitted with brass recessed campaign handles, the bottom drawer is deep and is fitted with dividers for bottles. The drawers are fitted with large brass swan neck handles on decorative backplates. The doors are fitted with brass drop handles on decorative backplates and working locks (key is supplied).
The top section has a large central bevelled edge arched shaped mirror flanked by a smaller mirror at each side. The side mirrors are over raised shelves on well turned supports to the front. Above the mirrors there are attractive carved tops raised in the centre is a stepped cornice with a decorative carved top above.
The sideboard has an overall height of 98" (249cm) (including mirror back) with a base cabinet height of 37.5" (94cm), a width of 80" (203cm) and a depth of 26" (66cm).
This lovely mirror back sideboard remains in good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are a few minor light marks and small indentations to the top surfaces and a small age gap to the right hand side from past use. The mirror has some very minor foxing.

A lovely satin birch chiffonier. We date this chiffonier to the late 19th century.
The chiffonier sits on a plain plinth base with a gallery back.
The gallery has an ornate carved design over a full width shelf that sits on a turned support at each end.
The chiffonier consists of two drawers over a large cupboard. The cupboard has a mid height wooden shelf.
The right hand door is fitted with a working lock (key supplied).
The front of the chiffonier has a protruding plinth to support a tapered pillar at each side. These have ornately carved mounts at the top.
The drawers have a lovely convex design, the drawers are operated by a recessed handle beneath the drawer.
The chiffonier has an overall height of 57" (146cm) including gallery, a table top height of 39’’ (100cm), a width of 48" (122cm) and a depth of 16" (41cm).
This lovely chiffonier remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is some minor wear and indent marks to some of the edges and the top surface. The table top surface has slightly mellowed over the years and there is a slightly larger indentation as can be seen in the pictures. There are a couple of old veneer repairs.

The sideboard has an overall height of 37.5" (96cm), a width of 60.5" (153cm) and a depth of 27" (69cm) in the centre.
This attractive mahogany sideboard remains in a good solid condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is a bit of edge inlay missing, mainly to the outer edges and there is some slight mellowing to the finish throughout.
